UK House Prices in 2024
2023 was a challenging year for the property market, and most experts agreed that the UK average house price would see further small dips in 2024.
However, after an unexpectedly strong start to the year, many predictions are being upgraded to reflect the resilience of the mainstream residential market.
Last November, Savills, a leading UK property company, predicted that house prices would fall by -3.0%. Now, thanks to a more promising first quarter than anticipated and an observed improvement in lead indicators of demand, they have revised their projections, forecasting growth of 2.5% in 2024.
